Where Many Franchisors Go Wrong
Tom says that a common mistake among rookie franchisors is too much focus on substantive issues and too little on the actual process. Of course, it is important to have a solid understanding of substantive issues, but if you focus too little on the process, it could cost you. For example, no matter how great your Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and Franchise Agreement are, if you don’t manage the process correctly, it can end up costing you.
